This is a very special episode as I’m bringing in my husband, Chaz Fausel, for a fun, light conversation as we look back on our ten years of marriage. We share stories of how we met, why we’re so different in so many ways, and some tips for a successful marriage.
Chaz is an introvert and Enneagram Type 9, while I’m a Type 7. The 9s are typically steadfast while the 7s are all things fun. Chaz is good at processes, systemically looking at things, and being able to change things. I, on the other hand, am such a dreamer. I’m very future-oriented, always thinking about the next trip and the next fun thing we’re going to do. And so, we are essentially opposite in every single way. We have different personalities and that’s probably the main reason we complement each other.
Chaz is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) doctor. Today, we also cover the difference between acute inflammation and chronic inflammation as well as the impact of eating in a low inflammatory style as it relates to decreasing chronic inflammation.
In this episode, you will hear:
- How we met
- Chaz’ medical journey and why he chose PM&R
- His career backup choice
- What is inflammation?
- Acute inflammation versus chronic inflammation
- How to deal with chronic inflammation
- Knowing your baseline level of inflammation
- Tips for a successful marriage
