Do you have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear? Maybe you just don’t know how to pair them up. Or maybe the clothes you have no longer work for your lifestyle right now.
In this episode, I’m excited to share this conversation with entrepreneur and author, Alison Lumbatis who created an entire system called Outfit Formulas. Today, we’re going to talk about all things style capsule wardrobe and how to dress every single day, which Alison has made easy for you! Listen in to learn all about style, not only how to dress, but how it can really change your life and show up in the world.
There are different catalysts for the need to rebuild your wardrobe, be that you’ve gained weight or lost some, or maybe you’re entering corporate America for the first time (or leaving corporate America).
Whatever your reason is, know that you have to dress the body you have right now, and giving yourself permission to do that is immensely powerful. We always talk about changing inside-out. But our guest today will make you realize that sometimes there are also changes that happen outside-in, so then you show up better, you’re more empowered, and you’re more motivated to do things.
There’s a ton of research out there suggesting that the way we dress turns us into different people. We take on the attributes of our clothing, and if we feel good with what we’re wearing when we show up in the world, others respond to that as well.
In this episode, you will hear:
- How she transitioned from engineering to style
- The impetus behind the blog and the community
- The concept of a capsule wardrobe and how it works
- How to narrow down and find the pieces that work
- The Cash, Stash, and Trash strategy
- Dressing the body you have right now
- How to figure out your personal style
- How Outfit Formulas can you help you
