How much do you value friendship? Maybe you’re an extrovert who loves being everyone’s friend, or maybe you’re an introvert who’s happy to have just two to three friends in your circle. No matter your personality type, we, as human beings, need human connection and social support – friendships, specifically.

A 2020 study shows that the number one thing that prevents depression is having someone to talk to. A significant amount of research points to the direct impact that friendship has on your physical, mental, and emotional health.

In this episode, we talk all about friendship, what it means, and the impact of friendship on our lives. Joining us is Danielle Bayard Jackson, a female friendship coach and an educator who speaks nationally on the subject of friendship as a wellness imperative. Her coaching business, Friend Forward, is dedicated to teaching women how to create and maintain better female friendships.

Especially as busy moms, we understand how limited our time and energy are so we also have to be strategic about the people we want to invest in. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make room for new connections to happen in our lives as well.

In this episode, you will hear:

  • The definition of friendship
  • How many friends can a person maintain
  • Why weak ties are also important
  • How to invite new connections in your life
  • Friendships between different personality types
  • What limits your opportunity to meet new friends
  • What is a friendship coach – and who needs one?
