Margaritas are hands down my all time favorite cocktail. Now that I’m doing keto, I just HAD to create a Keto Margarita recipe that’s low carb and sugar free.
Hilariously, my Mom hates tequila. Legitimately won’t drink it. So it was actually my mother-in-law who introduced me to margaritas… And OBVIOUSLY they became my favorite cocktail. As much as I love Mexican food, I just have to love margaritas. On the rocks? Great. Frozen? Yep. Salt or no salt? SALT. Is there any other way?
What makes this margarita keto and low carb?
In this recipe, we feature my Keto Simple Syrup Recipe. That recipe is just 1g of net carbs per serving. One ounce of orange juice is typically just 3.2 g of carbs. And bizarrely, tequila has calories, but zero carbs.

Description
This is the recipe for ONE Keto Margarita.
Ingredients
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 30 seconds.
To create the salted rim, get two shallow plates. In one, put a small amount of lime juice. In the other, put kosher salt or thick himalayan salt. Dip each cocktail glass first in the lime, then immediately into the salt. Rub the glass in the salt until it is fully coated. Place ice in each glass and pour your drink over the ice. Enjoy!
