I’ve been mostly dairy free for a LONG time. Since I absolutely love yogurt, finding a dairy-free alternative is important. I really enjoy SO Delicious’ Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative. I mainly use the plain, unsweetened variety, because I can use it in smoothies like this one, and as a replacement for sour cream as well.
Mixed Berry Smoothie Recipe with Yogurt Alternative
This Mixed Berry Smoothie Recipe with Yogurt Alternative is divine, if I do say so myself. This is such a simple mixed berry smoothie- its only ingredients are coconut milk, a banana, mixed berries (that I buy frozen so they’re ready to go!), SO Delicious Vanilla Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative, and I add ashwagandha as an adaptogen, too!
While you can make a berry smoothie in a lot of different ways, I really think it’s the addition of the yogurt alternative that takes this recipe to the next level! It’s a bit tangy and sweet, and balances the berry flavors so well. I love using the SO Delicious Vanilla Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative as the vanilla flavor adds in a bit of a cake flavor. I love topping this mixed berry smoothie with toasted coconut flakes- yum!

How to Make a Berry Smoothie
Making this Mixed Berry Smoothie couldn’t be ANY simpler. Simply add the coconut milk, banana, frozen mixed berries, SO Delicious Vanilla Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative, and ashwagandha to your blender and blend until smooth!
Frozen Berry Smoothie
The trick to this mixed berry smoothie that makes it SUPER fast is buying frozen mixed berries. You can get any mixture of blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries. It doesn’t matter the specific blend you get for this frozen berry smoothie recipe- they will all taste great! I personally keep a bag of organic frozen mixed berries in the freezer at all times so I can easily whip up this mixed berry smoothie at the drop of a hat or when the craving strikes! I love this method because you don’t have to keep fresh berries (that go bad quickly) on hand, frozen berries are already washed, AND buying produce frozen is cheaper than fresh.
